Have We Been Had on Climate Change?

I have spent a lot of hours researching global warming, trying to unearth the "inconvenient truth" about it all. Hell, I even worked as a Climate Protection Officer for a few years, regurgitating the old theory about humanity-generated CO2 acting as a greenhouse gas. You know the rest.

Well, recent info has made me rethink climate change quite radically... The main wild card to upset all my precious ideas about climate change was the observation that Mars is also experiencing global warming. Hmmm.... What do Earth and Mars have in common? Yep, you guessed right... the Sun! Check here for more info about the Russian scientist who has documented this stuff. Based on this still rather unpopular scientific hypothesis, the Russians believe that global warming has now reached its zenith (in line with peaking solar activity) and that we are actually heading into a period of rapid global cooling...

The Al Gore brigade's call to limit carbon emissions will culminate when many nation's government's are expected to sign the Copenhagen Climate Change Treaty this December. This will commit most of us to carbon taxes designed to equalize the prosperity of the world's population - take from the rich and give to the poor. Sounds fair enough, except that the Treaty will supersede sovereign national laws and generate funds for the establishment of a world government to enforce and manage it all.

Lord Christopher Monckton, former scientific adviser to Margaret Thatcher, outlines the implications of the Copenhagen Treaty here:
